The 4.7-liter 32-valve V-8 that you'll find in the LX 470, and it's the largest engine that Lexus has to offer. It's paired with a five-speed Electronically Controlled Transmission (ECT), and a nicer match-up you couldn't ask for. You've got a powerplant capable of 235 horsepower and 320 lbs.-ft. of torque, which means the sky's the limit, as far as travel is concerned. Towing? Not a problem. A trip to the mountains? Absolutely. Oh, and a two-speed transfer case with a manual-locking center differential that allows the front and rear wheels to be linked together is awfully handy if you dare take this beauty off-road.
